Problems are complex. The best solutions are simple. Great user experience design is the line between these two points.

Hey, I’m Arisa. I hail from Upland, CA but was drawn to the northwest for its mountains and lakes.

As a UX designer, I believe:

  • Powerful messages are simple
  • The most effective designs are clear and guide a user through a seemingly effortless flow.
  • And most importantly, I believe great design is deeply rooted in empathy. Empathy brings heightened contextual awareness to every detail of a design and helps drive moments of delight as users interact with systems designed to solve their unique needs.

I am currently working on complex productivity scenarios for game and app developers at Microsoft; and prior to joining Microsoft I delivered digital solutions for companies like Panera, Zipcar, LogMeIn and other consumer products.

I thrive solving hard problems and delivering simple solutions; and I believe in failing fast and iterating often to swiftly come to the right solution.

I’m a UX designer, hiker, a 12th man for life, and I’m constantly looking for engaging problems with great teams where I can make a big impact.

Recommendations

Arisa is an exceptional user experience designer, collaborator and team mate. She brings craft, enthusiasm and joy to every project she participates in, and is an invaluable contributor from strategy through development.
Most of all, Arisa is smart. She approaches every project with an open mind, quickly narrows in on the right opportunity, understands on how she can be of value for both her client and their customers - and then delivers on that.
From interviews, through user journeys, sitemaps, prototypes and user testing Arisa actively engages her team and client, and establishes an environment that encourages co-creation and innovation. Her work is thoughtful and articulate, her passion for her work evident in every artifact and presentation.
I’d love to work with Arisa again in the future.

I can’t rave enough about Arisa. She’s the type of team member that everybody wishes is on their project. She consistently goes above and beyond, and puts in time and effort to make sure that everything she puts on the table is excellent / of high caliber.
Arisa is a great collaborator, is articulate in her design decisions and reasonings, and creates absolutely beautiful user experiences. Her drive and passion for the work she does elevates the work of every team that she touches - pushing people to become better at their craft.
Another thing that I appreciate about Arisa is her constant eagerness to learn, and I got to see her learn and grow a lot in our year of working together. She brought a lot of positivity and creativity to the team and I’m grateful that I had the opportunity to work with her at Genuine.
